Tuna Pasta with Olives


This recipe creates pasta in tomato sauce quickly, simply, and delectably using canned tuna, olives, and other cupboard essentials. There is no need to hurry to the store since this simple recipe for tuna pasta with olives in tomato sauce can be created using ingredients in your cupboard.

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 6.5oz can tuna
  • 14 oz chopped tomatoes (1 can)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley chopped
  • ½ teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup pitted black olives such
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper



  1. Boil a sizable pot of salted water for the pasta first. when the pasta water has reached a boil. Just undercook the food. Before draining, take off 1/4 cup of the cooking water and leave it aside.
  2. While that is happening, add the onion to a medium skillet with the olive oil and heat through until transparent. Include the garlic. Just until aromatic, while stirring, add the tomatoes.
  3. Mix in the parsley after adding it.
  4. Add pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes, if desired, and season to taste.
  5. Add the tuna and olives after mixing. While the pasta boils, bring the sauce to a boil, cover it, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Pasta should be added, covered with sauce, and cooked until tender if required adding the leftover pasta water to loosen.
  7. Serve warm.
