Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Cooling Time: 3 Hours
Total Time: 3 Hours 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Graham Cracker Crust:
- 1 â…“ cup graham crackers
- 5 tbsp melted butter
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Creamy Lemon Filling:
- 1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
- 3 egg yolks
- ½ cup fresh squeezed lemons
For serving:
- Whipped cream
- powdered sugar
Instructions:
- your oven to 350 degrees in advance.
- Cut two pieces of parchment paper into a cross shape, then overlap them to prepare a baking pan. Make sure the paper slightly overlaps the pan’s sides. When you remove the baked bars out of the pan later, you will use these as your handles.
- Graham crackers should be put into a food processor and processed until they are all crumbs. To produce 1 1/3 cups of crumbs, you will need roughly 2-3 of the little packages in the box.
- Add your ground Graham Crackers, melted Butter, Salt, and Sugar to a large bowl and thoroughly combine.
- Firmly press the crust into the baking pan you have prepared. It should appear hard and squeezed, with the crust slightly rising from the sides.
- While you prepare the filling, bake the crust for 5 minutes before removing it to cool.
- Egg yolks, lemon juice, and sweetened condensed milk should all be combined in a large bowl and thoroughly blended to create a smooth mixture.
- Fill your prepared pie or tart crust with your ingredients at this point.
- For 15 minutes, bake
- Take out of the oven, then allow to fully cool.
- Refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight after it has cooled.
- Add whipped cream and/or powdered sugar before serving (optional)
- Enjoy!
