Easy creamy lemon bars

The graham cracker-crusted easy creamy lemon bars are my newest dessert passion, and they are so amazing! These mouthwatering lemon bars with a baked graham cracker crust are the ideal treat for any time of year or event. The simplest lemon bar recipe you can find is for those tiny lemon squares.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Cooling Time: 3 Hours
Total Time: 3 Hours 30 minutes

Graham Cracker Crust:

  • 1 ⅓ cup graham crackers
  • 5 tbsp melted butter
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp kosher salt

Creamy Lemon Filling:

  • 1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ½ cup fresh squeezed lemons

For serving:

  • Whipped cream
  • powdered sugar

  1. your oven to 350 degrees in advance.
  2. Cut two pieces of parchment paper into a cross shape, then overlap them to prepare a baking pan. Make sure the paper slightly overlaps the pan’s sides. When you remove the baked bars out of the pan later, you will use these as your handles.
  3. Graham crackers should be put into a food processor and processed until they are all crumbs. To produce 1 1/3 cups of crumbs, you will need roughly 2-3 of the little packages in the box.
  4. Add your ground Graham Crackers, melted Butter, Salt, and Sugar to a large bowl and thoroughly combine.
  5. Firmly press the crust into the baking pan you have prepared. It should appear hard and squeezed, with the crust slightly rising from the sides.
  6. While you prepare the filling, bake the crust for 5 minutes before removing it to cool.
  7. Egg yolks, lemon juice, and sweetened condensed milk should all be combined in a large bowl and thoroughly blended to create a smooth mixture.
  8. Fill your prepared pie or tart crust with your ingredients at this point.
  9. For 15 minutes, bake
  10. Take out of the oven, then allow to fully cool.
  11. Refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight after it has cooled.
  12. Add whipped cream and/or powdered sugar before serving (optional)
  13. Enjoy!
