If you plan to have a party and serve appetizers, then you will want to include Spicy Guacamole in the menu. It is always the first thing to go when we have parties. The reason? Because everybody loves it! It’s simple to make and goes well with tortilla chips.

Prep Time:15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 large avocados
  • 3 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 2 serrano peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

Instructions:

  1. Cut avocados in half and scrape out the seeds into a bowl with a flat bottom. Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the potatoes. Squeeze lime juice over avocados directly.
  2. Chop the onion and place it in the mixing bowl. Remove the seeds from the jalapenos and finely dice them before adding them to the bowl.
  3. Remove the seeds and cut the tomato in half parallel to the top. Toss in the diced tomatoes into the mixing basin.
  4. Add the garlic and cilantro to the bowl after pressing them.
  5. Serve with 1/2 tsp salt , 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 1/2 tsp dry cumin powder right away.

Notes:

If you wish to make this ahead of time, cover the guacamole in plastic wrap and press out any air before refrigerating.
