Honey garlic shrimp

Unquestionably a dinnertime favorite is this honey garlic shrimp! A savory-sweet-and-garlicky coating is applied to juicy shrimp. The best thing, though? In roughly 20 minutes, it is finished!

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro or parsley
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

  1. Combine the honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  2. Pour a third of the sauce over the shrimp in a different bowl. The shrimp should be coated, then marinated for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. A pan with medium-high heat is used to heat the oil. Add the shrimp and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until pink and just barely cooked through, discarding any remaining marinade.
  4. Stirring with the shrimp while it simmers and slightly thickens for approximately a minute, add the remaining 2/3 of the sauce to the pan.
  5. Before serving, turn off the heat, toss in the cilantro or parsley, and garnish with thinly sliced green onions.
