Ingredients:
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- â…“ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro or parsley
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Combine the honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Pour a third of the sauce over the shrimp in a different bowl. The shrimp should be coated, then marinated for 15 to 20 minutes.
- A pan with medium-high heat is used to heat the oil. Add the shrimp and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until pink and just barely cooked through, discarding any remaining marinade.
- Stirring with the shrimp while it simmers and slightly thickens for approximately a minute, add the remaining 2/3 of the sauce to the pan.
- Before serving, turn off the heat, toss in the cilantro or parsley, and garnish with thinly sliced green onions.
