Strawberry Spinach Salad

A terrific approach to convince youngsters to eat spinach is with this strawberry spinach salad! I had to have the recipe for this salad that someone brought to a potluck meal. Since then, I’ve cooked it numerous times, and every time I bring it anywhere, people ask for the recipe.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Additional Time: 1 Hour 10 minutes
Total Time: 1 Hour 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup distilled white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salad:

  • 1-quart strawberries
  • 10 ounces of fresh spinach
  • ¼ cup almonds

 

Instructions:

  1. Produce dressing: In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, oil, vinegar, sesame, poppy, onion, paprika, and Worcestershire. For one hour, cover and chill.
  2. Making salad In a big bowl, mix strawberries, spinach, and almonds.
  3. Toss the salad with the dressing to mix.10 to 15 minutes should pass in the fridge before serving.
