Cobb Salad with the Best Dressing


The greatest homemade Cobb Salad Dressing on an easy chicken salad! This protein-rich salad is a meal in and of itself thanks to the chicken, bacon, boiled eggs, avocado, blue cheese, and crisp lettuce.

Chicken Cobb Salad Ingredients:

  • 6 oz bacon
  • 1 medium head romaine lettuce
  • 2 cooked chicken breasts
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red onion
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese
  • 2 Tbsp parsley

Cobb Salad Dressing:

  • 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper



  1. Cook chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes or until crisp, then transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to cool. Peel and quarter two hard-boiled eggs after cooking.
  2. Place the chopped, rinsed, and dried romaine lettuce in a platter. Then, top the salad with the finely chopped parsley. Arrange the other salad ingredients (chicken, eggs, avocado, tomatoes, onion, blue cheese, and bacon) in rows over the salad.
  3. Add the dressing ingredients to a mason jar, then vigorously shake. Just before serving, drizzle over the salad, or let guests to add their own amount of dressing.
