Cook Time: 55 minutes
Total Time: 1 Hour 20 minutes

Ingredients:

Brown Sugar/Cinnamon Mixture:

  • â…“ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Bread Loaf:

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • â…” cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs room temp
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup milk or almond milk

Chopped Apple Mixture:

  • 2 large apples

Old-Fashioned Creme Glaze:

  • ½ cup of powdered sugar
  • 1-3 tbsp of milk or cream

Instructions:

  1. turn the oven on to 350 degrees. Use a loaf pan and non-stick spray to make it easy to remove for slicing, or line a baking sheet with foil and coat it as well.
  2. In a bowl, combine 13 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Place aside.
  3. In a separate dish, mix and whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder.
  4. Using an electric mixer, combine 2/3 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup softened butter in another medium dish and beat until smooth and creamy.
  5. 2 eggs should be added one at a time and mixed in thoroughly. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla essence and combine.
  6. Mix until combined after adding the flour mixture to the butter creamed mixture.
  7. Blend the batter after adding a half cup of milk.
  8. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan that has been lined with parchment paper. Add half the chopped apple mixture, along with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and combine.
  9. On top of the apple layer, sprinkle 12 of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture that you had set aside.
  10. Layer two: Spread the remaining batter over the apple layer, sprinkle the remaining chopped apples with cinnamon and sugar, and then top with the remaining brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  11. Swirl the mixture with a knife several times.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  13. To prepare glaze, thoroughly combine 12 cup powdered sugar with 1–3 tablespoons milk or cream. (If the mixture needs a boost, microwave it for 10 seconds to make it pourable.)
  14. Before transferring the loaf to cool entirely on a cooling rack, let it rest in the pan for about 15 minutes. Glaze in a thin layer.
  15. Make two batches of the glaze if you need more.
