  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs eggs
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Set oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees C). Clean, flour, and grease a Bundt pan.
  2. Mix the flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and baking powder in a sizable bowl. Add 4 eggs, 1 cup butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and buttermilk to the mixture. 3 minutes of medium-speed beating. Fill the pan with the batter.
  3. A wooden toothpick put into the center of the cake should come out clean after baking in the preheated oven for 60 minutes. Puncture the still-warm cake with a fork. Pour sauce over the cake gradually. Give the cake time to cool before removing it from the pan.
  4. To make the butter sauce, mix the water, remaining 3/4 cups sugar, 1/3 cup butter, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla in a saucepan. Cook without boiling for as long as the ingredients are completely melted and mixed.
