Ingredients:
- 1 package Bean Soup
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1 meat ham, diced
- 1 onion diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder optional
- 15 ounces diced tomatoes
- 1 lemon juiced
Instructions:
- Drain and rinse the beans. Remove any unnecessary debris and set a fromway the seasoning packet.
- In a 6-quart slow cooker, combine the beans, onions, ham bone (or cubed ham), broth/water, garlic, and chili powder.
- Cook for 5 hours on high (or 7-8 hours on low) or until beans are soft.
- Remove the hambone (if using) and chop any meat remaining on the bone before returning it to the pot.
- Combine diced tomatoes, Ham Flavor package, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
- Add another 30 minutes to the cooking time.
