Oven
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
- 1 cup warm water about 110°F
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- Additional melted butter for brushing
Prepare the Yeast Mixture:
Make the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shape the Rolls:
Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
Spread the garlic butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and then the chopped parsley.
Roll the dough up, starting from the long edge, and cut into 12 equal pieces.
Place the rolls cut side up in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Brush the tops of the rolls with additional melted butter immediately after taking them out of the oven.
- You can adjust the amount of garlic based on your preference.

- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored and reheated.
- If using active dry yeast, ensure it's fresh for the best rise.
