Just ask my kids, eating Doritos for dinner is always a good time! We make the chips disappear so fast that sometimes we wonder where they are going. But we don’t worry because there are more in the bag. Didn’t take long for us to start thinking why can’t Doritos be used in other foods? That idea led us to come up with Doritos Crusted Chicken Strips, which I have to say is a great way to eat chicken.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 17 minutes
Total Time: 22 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 Bag of Doritos
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 chicken breasts
Instructions:
- The oven should be preheated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cut the chicken into strips (about 34′′).
- Crush Doritos in a large mixing bowl until you have 12 cups of crushed Doritos.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Each strip should be dipped in the egg mixture before being dipped in the Doritos mixture. Toss the chips into the chicken, being sure to coat the entire strip.
- Place the chicken on a foil-lined pan and lightly coat the tops with cooking spray.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until thoroughly done.
- Serve with sour cream or ranch dressing.
